Know Thy Style

Does it take having a style blog to really figure out your style? And that come your 30s it all becomes so much clearer? I’d say yes to both…

I think I’ve always found my style a bit conflicted; I am often drawn to the flamboyant, colourful, flowing and bright but the reality is such clothes don’t suit me as well as simple, neater-looking basics. I found my summer uniform this year – good quality boyfriend jeans with an easy tee, but I still like to mix things up with a fun dress, cool boho boots and bit of styling (read, nipping in at the waist with a vintage belt!).

These incredible boots – made from recycled kilims in Marrakech – were handpicked by Holly, founder of super cool site Leotie Lovely which leans towards vintage desert chic and sustainable fashion. I was kindly sent this pair to style up but you can get yours here.

  1. I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I’m bold and like to wear strong colours and styles but other times I like just a pair of jeans and a simple top. conflicting, just like you!

    1. Ah, so glad I’m not the only one! Sometimes I think it’s all about honing it down but then I love being creative & having fun with it too!
