Sandals And Scent

Summery new slides in an eye-wateringly pretty tan and a fresh scent by Milan perfumier Mazzolari have got me all excited this weekend. And these pink peonies which are blooming in such glory…

The tan cross overs are Sam Edelman’s take on the pool slide and fit snug on the foot – this increases my summer sandal styles from two to three; Birkenstocks, espadrilles and cross-over slides. Done! What more does a 30-something girl need other than a little youth serum to apply morning and night?

Dahliana is by far one of my ongoing favourite brands on natural and organic beauty site A Beautiful World. Expensive, but one of those brands that really works. If I could, I’d have the whole range full-time instead of skipping around so much, but although I love beauty I must say it comes after clothes and lenses on my list of things to buy so is basically subject to ‘funds allowing’.

Perfume is making its way back into my life, still something I only spritz in the evening if going out. This beautiful bottle is by Mazzolari, a prestigious Italian brand with numerous stores in Italy stocking a whole range of beauty and skincare products.

We’re just back from a Scandinavian summer solstice party in the park this afternoon and off to dinner tonight at the newly opened Clapton deli and wine bar Verden (the founder is the maitre ‘d at Mayfair’s Scotts…!) Will let you know how it goes… enjoy the weekend!
