It’s funny how people respond to the Algarve. It seems that it still has a bit of an outdated rep…
The razzmatazz of the coast with its tourist restaurants and golf resorts can overshadow the many pockets of inland paradise. We’ve been staying in a sleepy valley between two picturesque towns (must get shots of all the pastel coloured buildings next time!) in an old farmhouse in a huge field.
I’ve completely fallen in love with the mix of old and new, the stunning wildflowers and white walls. You feel perfectly isolated but can get yourself to a supermarket or beach in under 20 minutes, which is kind of the perfect set-up when you’ve got kids.
I’ve taken a tonne of pics, as per, to give you a feel of the last few days… Hope you enjoy! More posts coming soon – we’ve just arrived back in London, and I have a couple day’s grace before jumping back on a plane… this time to Hamburg for some photography fun with Olympus!
