I had a hankering to shake up and streamline my jewellery aesthetic by buying a bunch of pieces by the same designer. After some searching I found east London-based but Scandi influenced Stroem Design…
Recycled silver & gold-plated designs that are beautifully simple but so striking. They arrived in gorgeous little packaging, each with a mini clothes peg clipping its see-through packet, all together in a cheese cloth bag. It was exactly the new start I felt I needed. I wanted pieces of jewellery that were fresh from associations, free from ‘I must wear that piece because…’
I want no reason to wear these pieces other than that they are meant to go together. A little jewellery collective. And I love them all. Especially how you can stack and mix and match and the angled lines still fall into places with each beautifully. I’ll be visiting Marie’s workshop space soon – she’s just moved from her canal boat where these pieces were made – so keep an eye out for some behind the scenes photos…
From left to right – gold hexagon necklace, silver ring, gold angle ring (x2), gold double bind ring (and next on my list is the Vibeke ring!)

Julia, I absolutely love these – and you know I love a bit of Scandi design. Super nice shots too – as always. x
