I bet you didn’t know I played the piano! Badly, but with conviction. But tinkling the ivories most of the time in this household is my musician husband, who has a way of bringing on roaring singsongs until 3am in the morning…
Ok, we haven’t done it enough recently, and the onset of Christmas and Hogmanay makes me nostalgic for belting out power ballads fuelled by wine, friends and fun. In preparation (for I am nothing if not organised on the sartorial front!) I am scoping out my Christmas outfit early doors with the help of the lovely Plum from vintage mecca Beyond Retro (also a fab blogger at Plumdiddlyumcious btw!) and the #xmasjumperstylechallenge they’re running in partnership with Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on December 12.
So here I am styling up my Beyond Retro vintage knit (they have so many good Christmas jumpers to choose from!) to show my support for christmasjumperday.org (I donated by Paypal here & every donation will be matched by the government) and be in with a chance of winning a £250 shopping trip at Beyond Retro.
To enter yourself you just need to tag a photo of yourself wearing a Christmas jumper with #xmasjumperstylechallange and follow Beyond Retro on Twitter, @beyondretrouk and Instagram @beyondretro. The competition closes on December 12. Bring on the Christmas time singsongs – woohoo!
Full disclosure: this sequinned 80s Nordic number comes complete with soft shoulder pads
