Monday Beauty Tip

I’ve been doing this for a few weeks now since a little Instagram coverage I did and I’m a complete convert. Nightly make-up removal with just solid coconut oil and a natural sponge…

Totally brilliant on many counts – I’m using organic coconut oil (anti-bacterial and cleansing) which:

cleans skin without stripping away natural oils;

wipes away mascara and eyeliner in a blink;

is super smooth to rub over your skin leaving it delicious smelling;

does away with the need for disposable cotton buds;

lasts for ages;

and is good for your skin.

I take a little dollop on my fingers, rub over my face and any make-up, wet my sponge under warm water and wipe away. Done and dusted. Skin feels clean but hydrated and soothed.

  1. Hello! Love using coconut oil but not tried the sponge – do you have to clean it with anything to keep it sterile? Would definitely love to do away with disposabl cotton!

    1. Hey R! I just give it a wash in hotwater and soap and leave it to dry – I’m hoping that’s sterile enough?! 🙂 xx

  2. I’m sure that’s fine! Definitely tempted for days when my Clarisonic feels unnecessary but I want to give my skin a good scrub. And great for holidays too, as you can carry less boomph! One more question – Where is the sponge from? x

    1. Hmm, it was a present, but am pretty sure it was a natural sponge from Body Shop. Luuurve using it! 🙂
