Since we’re away this weekend in Cornwall for summer festivals, I thought I’d bring you my Sunday Edit a little bit early. Mainly ‘cos everything thing matched up so nicely in greens and I really wanted to photograph it all, plus some really nice things arrived with me this week and I’m dying to share. Some have a festival purpose, so I’ll start with those as my head’s just full of packing and getting organised for tomorrow right now…
Luggage wise, I am covered. I’ve never had a gorgeous leather weekend bag before, but this Forbes & Lewis one ticks all the boxes. Spacious, easy to carry and toss in the back of the car and oh so beautiful. The smell of this waxt leather is just divine. So old school and such a forever piece. Lots of different styles, including larger ones but this is the one that fits the more petite among us just right! Could work really nicely for an overnight too.
For traipsing round the festivals with camera kit and various Gus items, I’ve decided a small backpack is the way to go and loving the Re-Kånken from Fjäll Räven. Yes, it’s green – comes in other colours too – but it’s also very ‘green’; made from 95% recycled materials (plastic bottles) and spin dyed to use less energy, water and chemicals in the production. Very happy about that, plus used to wear Kånken to school in Copenhagen.
Some excellent tech in the form of this Goodmans charger (two phone charges; obvs am freaking out about running out of juice) plus, and never seen this before, if you place your phone across it, it acts as a speaker and the quality is surprising good. The cute earphones by also by Goodmans, are a clever little pack that comes with two pairs and a jack so two people can listen or watch something at the same time, which is such a great idea for long journeys.
Lovely print boho top from Boden and the cashmere cotton mix boyfriend knit is from gorgeous Scottish brand Cameron taylor* stocked by Epitome of Edinburgh – the designs are super minimal and gorgeously soft. This v-neck is light enough for summer and will be perfect for festival evenings I reckon.
Just couldn’t resist this week’s Wisehands Coffee roast packaging from Norwegian roasters Langora. Obviously these beans will be staying at home, but looking forward to some lovely festival morning coffee in our yurt (eek, first time we’re staying in one and I’m a little over-excited!).
Little wooden toy camera is new in for Gus from Molly & The Wolf. This really is one of the best little kids gifts and they have a fantastic selection (also sale now on!). The watch is also new in, by Komono, a Belgian accessories brand with some extremely cool styles with a vintage twist and extremely reasonable prices. For me, despite all the ongoing rage for big watches, a smaller watch just looks better on my wrist and is much more comfortable to wear. So love the little square old-gold looking face; this is the gold black Moneypenny style and I already want in the different colourways!
A nice re-supply of some of my favourite Dr Hauschka products – the night serum (it’s all I put on at night) and the tinted rose day cream (it’s thick but you just need to press it on rather that rub it in) plus there’s some little night capsules which will be brilliant for this weekend and I’m looking forward to trying out the almond body wash, which am thinking will just toss in the car with us too! I’m also loving the award-winning 001 Skincare Rose Mist, which is great for a little re-hydrating spray and calming smell. This will be coming too, just to keep things misted and hydrated ;).
