A whole load of snaps from one of the loveliest Easter holidays that I never want to forget! A combination of Algarve springtime blooms, a full ten days, Gus having such a lovely time with my folks and getting back into yoga…
[ezcol_1half]We stayed at my folks and it was kind of wonderful to be absorbed into their routine – coffee and croissant in the mornings, trips to the local town, watering in the garden and lots of healthy salads. I had a few house renovation decisions to make – the old farmhouse we’re slowly, oh so slowly doing up, is just a short walk from where my parents place is – and we’re onto to some outdoor tiling! Plus we had to go check out the new Algarve IKEA (right!) which has finally opened and check out what bits and pieces we might eventually use to furnish the outhouses. I may have picked up a few rugs while there. 😉 But the most important things were traipsing around collecting rocks with Gus on his early birthday trike, a fantastic trip to a nearby beach where Gus delighted endlessly in the crashing waves – it was pretty windy! Cue that lovely car drive home him getting all tired & sleepy. [/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]I read loads of my favourite fantasy YA, took a ridiculous amount of photos, mainly with a new lens (check out all the flower shots & lens review here) although real sunbathing wasn’t really on the agenda – it was too windy and, as a mama real sun-bathing isn’t on the menu anymore & April is a bit cooler so good if you’re not out for flat-out heat. The Algarve reawakens after a sleepy winter with all its beautiful flowers (so much so Easter weekend sees flower parades in the local towns) and the land is about as lush and green as you will ever see it! By July/August the heat has dried the landscape into more of a desert vibe. There’s so much of Portugal I am dying to see – we visited Lisbon last summer and I’d love to get to Comporta which I hear amazing things about! Hopefully one day, once our place is finished, I can entice you to the Algarve on an Airbnb break! [/ezcol_1half_end]

I Glad to have found your blog. I found it when looking for a good lens for my E PL 7. Then, I recently bought a M. Zuiko 45mm 1.8, it really is an excellent lens.
Thank you 🙂
Lovely pics, great feelings and expressions those photos are expressing for themselves.
