Earlier this month I went along to experience the By Sarah Organic Facial in Sarah’s new permanent London space in Kensington. A little oasis, decked out with the gorgeous range (the only brand I know to have a full list of ingredients on the front of the label), beautiful wildflower-in-jars lined window and a calming vibe.

Shoes off at the door, I sat with Sarah and we chatted about the benefits of natural skincare – when Sarah’s sister Lauren was in treatment for leukaemia Sarah (her stem-cell donor) took it upon herself to create skincare products that Lauren’s super-sensitive skin could tolerate (hence leaving out the essential oils which are so common in skincare). A success with Lauren and friends & family, By Sarah was launched in 2017 by the sisters together.
A big fan of facial massage (Sarah talks about using home facial massage in my blog post on crystals & wellbeing here!), Sarah wanted to provide an affordable holistic facial that incorporated the benefits of massage and create a space for some meditative time out.
Using products from the range (I am now obsessed with the green clay cleansing balm!) Sarah not only worked on my face, but arms, hands and shoulders and this will probably explain why the hour slipped away in such magical, calming bliss…
I’m pretty sure I nodded off for a few seconds, the massage techniques gentle and caring and allowing for my mind to fully unwind. Afterwards my skin looked absolutely fantastic – I love facial massage for plumping, bestowing radiance and getting rid of any puffiness! And this is exactly why I’ve started doing mini massages at home at night with the crystal…
In terms of products, Sarah is all about keeping it simple – cleansing only at night with the clay balm and using the organic muslin cloth to wipe away dirt and makeup. The award-winning Organic Facial Oil is all you need to pop on after, and a dab of lip balm, which I love! And I’ve just started using the Hair Oil – a few drops at night – which is a lovely way to feed your locks!
